At a fruitful meeting held with Hong Kong Venture Capital Association Ltd. (HKVCA). CNSG and HKVCA struck an informal understanding to support each others' initiatives regionally.

[ 24 Sep 2001 ] CN China Pledges Support for ITCN Asia 2002

CNSG managed to lobby support for ITCN Asia 2002 from CN China. CN China Director, Mr. Robert Neely stressed that the current political situation and possible military action in Afghanistan have shifted the limelight to Pakistan. The heightened global awareness of Pakistan may means that Pakistan may emerge as a stronger market when the situation normalised.

[ 24 Sep 2001 ] CNSG Meeting with Asia Venture Capital Journal (AVCJ)

CNSG delegation held a meeting with Mr. Daniel M. Schwartz, of Asia Venture Capital Journal (AVCJ). Both parties agreed that there is much scope to cooperate to make Asia Venture week a success in Hong Kong.

[ 21 Sep 2001 ] CNSG's CEO delivers keynote at 2nd International Trustmark Workshop in Seoul, Korea

CommerceNet Singapore's (CNSG) Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jeh Shyan Wong delivers the keynote address at the 2nd International Trustmark Workshop in Seoul, Korea. The trustmark industry leaders met at a forum held at Grand Inter-Continental Hotel, Seoul. The grouping is formalised as International Trustmark Network (ITN), bringing together trustmarks from Japan, Korea, USA and Singapore.

[ 21 Sep 2001 ] CNSG and CNK Meeting on Extended INGECEP Proposal

CNSG had come out to support CommerceNet Korea (CNK) on their APEC TEL 24 Extended INGECEP Proposal. CNSG announced the strategic decision at a meeting between CNK and CNSG held at Grand Inter-Continental Hotel, Seoul.

[ 21 Sep 2001 ] CNSG and CNK Working Session on Schedule of Proposed November Roadshow in Hong Kong

CNSG and CNK agreed that the proposed Fund Raising Roadshow for members and venture companies will proceed. The Roadshow will be know as Asia Venture Network 2001. To make the effort worthwhile, CNSG will explore possibilities to extend the initiative to include a series of core events.

[ 19 Sep 2001 ] CNSG Proposed Rescheduling of E-Global 2001 and ITCN Asia 2002

CNSG proposed that the forthcoming E-Global be renamed as E-Global 2002, to be held in February or March 2002, and the Sindh major initiative ITCN Asia 2002 be rescheduled to August 2002.

[ 17 - 18 Sep 2001 ] CNSG meeting with Yellow Pages of Pakistan

CNSG team arrived in Karachi and held a meeting with Dr. Khursheed Nizam, MD of US Publishers of Yellow Pages of Pakistan (USP). Among those present at the meeting were Mr. Jeh Shyan Wong, CEO of CNSG, Mr. Anis Ahmad, CEO of USP, Ms. Merlissa Phua, Corporate Services Manager of CNSG.

The CNSG Investment Forum at Traders Hotel featured 4 promising US and Singapore companies that were invited by CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG).

The forum was ideal for those seeking investment deals, partnerships or simply just networking. For the investment forum, the Event included participation from leading venture capital firms from Singapore and selected portfolio companies that were looking for strategic partners/collaborators, technology and new opportunities in the US and Asia.

[ 5 Sep 2001 ] CNSG E-Global Singapore Conference 2001

CommerceNet Singapore's eGlobal Series kicked off on the 5th September 2001. Some 50 participants comprising of mainly IT players and learning institutions attended the one-day Conference at the Holiday Inn Parkview Hotel.
