CommerceNet
Singapore (CNSG), worked half-day on 23 January 2001. The office closed
from 24 to 26 January 2001 and reopened on the following working day
on 29 January 2001 after the week-end.

International Economic Crime Conference 2001Chairman
of CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG), Dr. Toh See Kiat, was invited to
speak at the International Economic Crime Conference 2001 held at
the Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre from
16-18 January.

Asia 2001 as a Catalyst for IT Initiatives in Pakistan
The
Governor of Punjab Lt. General (Retd.) Muhammad Safder addressed
the guests at a reception held at the stately Governor House, Lahore,
on the occasion of launching ceremony of ITCN Asia 2001. The launch
was also joined by Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, Federal Minister for Science
& Technology; Mr. Jeh Shyan Wong, CEO of CommerceNet Singapore
(CNSG), and the representatives of Ecommerce Gateway, Singapore.
CNSG and Ecommerce Gateway are collaborating with the Ministry of
Science and Technology for organizing the event to be held at Karachi
in March.

Visits Punjab IT Board
Delegates from CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) and private sector followed-up
in a second visit to Punjab IT Board (PITB). CNSG had previously
visited the PITB last year to understand the initiatives and activities
of PITB.

Visits PAF-KIET in Karachi
Delegates from
CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) led by CEO, Mr. Jeh Shyan Wong visited
the campus of an emerging institution, PAF-KIET in Karachi. The
faculties of PAF-KIET shared various visions of their institution
with CNSG.

Singapore Board Meeting on 10 January 2001
CommerceNet
Singapore (CNSG) board of directors will be meeting at CNSG office
on 10 January 2001. The first board meeting of the Year is scheduled
previous projects done in Year 2000 and may review new proposals
for the Year 2001.
