Aug 2001 [ 23 Aug 2001 ] e-Awards to be Renamed National Infocomm Awards The annual industry award e-Awards will be re-branded as National Infocomm Awards. CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) and ec.Think had agreed to broaden the framework to allow Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) to take the lead in organising the event. Both CNSG and ec.Think will jointly organise the event with IDA. [ 22 Aug 2001 ] CNSG Breakfast Talk : "Assessing Your Security Profile" and "Data Protection & Privacy Law: The Implications for Trade" The Breakfast Talk was powered by Assoc Prof Toh See Kiat, Chairman of CommerceNet Singapore and Mr. Calvin Yap, Senior Consultant of Syntegra.. The former spoke on the importance of data protection and its implications on cross-border trade (e-commerce and transmission of data) while the latter explained the technical criteria and issues to be considered in creating a secure infrastructure for data collection, usage and transmission. [ 22 Aug 2001 ] CNSG delivers Keynote at PSB's Testing and Certification 2001 Conference The Chief Executive Officer of CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) Mr.Jeh Shyan Wong delivered the keynote address at Testing and Certification 2001 Conference.
