CNSG, Computer Associates and dotERP jointly organised this Breakfast Forum, "Enterprise Advantage: Extend the Value of Your ERP System" on the 28th August at the InterContinental Singapore. About 50 participants attended the forum.  The forum discussed on how to obtain more information on leveraging information assets for business agility and realizing enterprise value through ERP integration.

The first speaker, Mr.Wong Bak Wei, Consulting Director – Information Management, Computer Associates International, Inc. spoke on “Empowering Enterprise Agility.”  Mr.Wong addressed issues on how companies could empower their existing investment to quickly adapt to changes.

The second speaker Mr. Mr Joe Ngoi, Chairman, CEO and Founder, dotERP Pte Ltd spoke on “ERP Integration Using XML and Web Services.” Mr. Ngoi stated that Enterprise Resource Planning systems typically cost millions of dollars to implement, and they manage important internal processes such as financials, logistics, inventory and sales.  With the advent of XML and Web Services, enterprises that have invested in ERP systems should be employing new technologies to leverage and extend the value of their back-end systems.

In his presentation, Mr.Ngoi also discussed how totally open-standards approach to extending the ERP system will lower the Total Costs of Ownership for the enterprise by reaping multiple Returns On previous Investments.
