CNSG Chairman Leads Delegation to Pakistan
CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) is of the opinion that Pakistan is fast becoming a preferred investment destination. More and more international investors are taking notice of the increasingly robust economy over the last 2 years.
A delegation of 17 international businessmen and officials, led by CommerceNet Singapore Chairman, Dr. Toh See Kiat will arrive in Karachi on Sunday, 12 January 2003. This will be a six day visit covering the three cities of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. During the visit, the delegation will meet key business and leaders and Federal Ministers. Speaking in conjunction with this occasion, Dr. Toh said:
"Pakistan presents a large, greenfield investment and trade opportunity for
international business community. No one can ignore the rapidly growing and
increasingly affluent market and talent pool of 145 million
Pakistanis."
The continued stability and consistency of national policies
augurs well for the development of trade and investment in Pakistan. There is a
lot of growing interest particularly in manufacturing, banking and finance,
infrastructure investment and real-estate development. With the continued and
sustained momentum by the Board of Investment and Pakistan Embassies
internationally, it is not unforseeable to attract larger pool of foreign
investors and achieve real economic growth of 4% to 5% per annum.
