CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) will be represented by Chief executive Officer, Mr. Jeh Shyan Wong at Global Business Dialogue on Electronic Commerce (GBDe) in Brussels, on 28 and 29 October 2002. This will be the 4th Annual Summit of GBDe. 

This year’s Summit is organized around main issues: realistic prospects for the development of the information society and e-commerce; the necessary conditions for that development, notably consumer confidence; the security of networks, the protection of intellectual property and combating harmful and illegal content; and priorities for speeding up the growth of e-commerce, notably the simplification of taxation, convergence through digitization and the systematic introduction by governments of online administrative procedures. 

In addition, the governments and administrations of the EU, Japan and the US are expected to present a joint statement to the Summit, recognizing the relevance of GBDe recommendations and progress to date in these areas.
