CommerceNet Singapore (CNSG) led a focus working group on a
courteousy call to Council of Saudi Chambers in Riyadh. The delegation is led by
Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jeh Shyan Wong.
The delegation paid a
courteousy visit to outgoing Secretary General Mr. Usamah M. Al-Kurdi, who acts
as the current advisor to the council, as well as the newly appointed Secretary
General. The delegation held a working discussion with Executive Director of
Saudi Export Development Centre Mr. Ibrahim M. Foudah.
A broad framework for possible collaboration are discussed,
including possibility to jointly work on IT curriculum development for industry
training. CNSG was briefed on the current economic situation
in Saudi Arabia and the 'Saudinisation' programme requirements in the kingdom.
CNSG also discussed the successful recenly held ITCN Saudi Arabia held at Dammam
and seek possible Chamber's support for the next ITCN Saudi Arabia.
Further discussion into this area could be held in future meetings, closer to the events proper.
