[ 3 April 2002 ] IBM to Host 3rd International Trustmark Network Meeting at IBM's Executive Conference Room

CommerceNet Singapore's (CNSG) corporate member IBM will host the 3rd International Trustmark Network (ITN) Meeting at their Executive Conference Room. The meeting was scheduled to be held on 19 April 2002. The meeting is a follow up to the September 21, 2001 2nd International Trustmark Workshop held at the Grand Inter-Continental, Seoul, Korea.

ITN is a non-profit network organization consisting members of internet trustmark awarding organizations and code-owners, including personal information protection and consumer protection for information exchange and mutual cooperation.

Currently ITN performs the following tasks of coordinating information sharing on the worldwide trustmark programs; supporting the development of a country which has no trustmark; development of a common minimum standard (guideline) and a logo; mutual cooperation between members for resolution of consumer complaint on e-commerce; public relation and referral services for ITN constituent organisations.

ITN structure composed of Chair, Steering Committee and Secretariat. The initial participating organizations are iDA, CNSG (CommerceTrust) of Singapore, PricewaterhouseCoopers, ePublic of USA, Korean Institure of Electronic Commerce and Korean Association of Information Technology. Ecom of Japan will refer to JIPDEC, JADMA of Japan on the actual constituents to participate in ITN.

CNSG currently is the Secretariat for ITN.
