Dr. Toh briefed the CPs on the latest development of key projects including ITCN Asia 2001, proposed new conferences to be held in Colombo and Lahore, possible cooperation with CNK and CNHK on regional initiatives. Joint initiatives in China and Vietnam are also discussed.
On the local scene, Seminars, BootCamps and International Conferences will set the pace. Market Intelligence exercises will promoted within CNSG as a main focal thrust. Networking has moved from getting from the widest general audience to 'deeper penetration' within each of CNSG members.
Of key interest is the latest development on CommerceTrust. The meeting discussed the current development and funding interest from the industry. CommerceTrust today has grown to encompass regional implementation and is leading the region in privacy, data protection and business benchmarking.
The meeting ended on an upbeat note with a concrete proposal to hold an industry briefing or dialogue with international panel of experts, tentatively proposed at Merchant Court Hotel in June. Details will be worked out.
