 [ 27 June 2000 ] CommerceNet Singapore's Board of Directors Meeting

CommerceNet Singapore's Board of Directors met today to review the progress made by CommerceNet Singapore for quarter ending June 2000. Of special interest is the Institute of E-Commerce (IOEC), which is fast developing into a brand new entity, taking on similar path threaded by CaseTrust earlier. IOEC currently is in discussion with various parties to co-develop e-learning programmes and are expected to pilot by Q4 Year 2000. The Board approves a preliminary funding for the project.

Also discussed is a new industry-led incubation initiative, spearheaded and managed by CommerceNet Singapore. Works are in progress to hold an inaugural event, whereby new initiatives and action plans to assist emerging startups as well as failing dot.coms.
